Ban Ki-moon visited #Gaza on Tuesday to see sites destroyed by the summer’s conflict and highlight the need for reconstruction.

The Secretary-General spent time at the UN Jabalia Elementary Girls School, which sheltered hundreds of Palestinians and was destroyed by multiple shells in July. Now the school is open and children are back.

“Not long ago, this was the site of terrible tragedy. Today it is a symbol of resilience – of learning – of the possibility of a better day,” he said.
